JOB VACANCY – BUSINESS COACH (FIELD MISSION)

As part of its activities supporting the development of MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in Benin, INCLUSIVE is recruiting several motivated and experienced Business Coaches to support entrepreneurs directly in the field, particularly in rural and peri-urban areas.
The mission also includes support for business creation and formal registration.

Required Profile

1. Academic Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3 or equivalent) in one of the following fields:

• Marketing, Sales & Communication

• Sociology

• Agronomy, Agro-food processing

• Geography

• Or any other relevant field related to MSME development in Benin

2. Professional Experience

• Proven experience in supporting small or medium-sized enterprises, both formal and informal, in Benin

• Experience working with entrepreneurship support organizations (NGOs, Business Support Structures, incubators, projects, etc.)

• Strong experience in fieldwork, particularly in rural and peri-urban environments

• Solid experience in facilitating coaching sessions, training workshops, or individualized support

• Ability to collect data using digital tools such as KoboCollect, Google Forms, or similar platforms

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct business diagnostics to identify entrepreneurs’ needs, constraints, and opportunities

• Design, implement, and monitor customized support plans

• Organize and facilitate group workshops or capacity-building sessions

• Carry out regular field visits to ensure close follow-up

• Produce accurate and regular activity reports for management

• Perform certain commercial or marketing tasks for the company or its parent company

Core Skills

• Strong listening, analytical, and reporting skills

• Ability to plan and provide individualized follow-up

• Good understanding of Benin’s rural context, particularly in the agricultural, agro-processing, and artisanal sectors

• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work under pressure

• Proficiency in basic office tools (Word, Excel) and mobile communication tools

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Languages and Mobility

• Proficiency in French and Fon is mandatory

• Knowledge of at least one additional local language (Adja, Mina, Yoruba, Tchabè, etc.) is an asset

• Residence in Bohicon or Dassa (or surrounding areas) is preferred

• Ownership of a motorcycle in good condition is mandatory

• Good physical condition for frequent field travel
