Il y a quelques jours, un comité s’est rendu dans le tout premier village électrifié par OnePower Bénin, Samionta. Notre objectif va bien au-delà de fournir de l’électricité ; nous nous engageons à soutenir le développement socio-économique de ces communautés. Au cours de cette visite, nous avons eu le privilège de rencontrer des entrepreneurs passionnés et des aspirants entrepreneurs locaux. Nous avons pris le temps d’évaluer leurs besoins afin de mieux comprendre les formations nécessaires pour stimuler leur croissance et leur réussite. Il faut noter que depuis l’installation de la centrale solaire à Samionta l’activité économique s’est développée, il existe désormais deux buvettes un producteur de glace, un mécanicien, un incubateur pour l’élevage de poulet, un broyeur d’huile de palme pour la coopérative du village et un cyber café en cours de création.
Nous sommes honorés d’avoir été accompagnés lors de cette visite par les présidentes de l’ACFA (Association Communale des Femmes Agricultrices) et de l’UCPZ (Union Communale des Producteurs de Zobodogbme). Leur présence et leur engagement témoignent de l’importance de ce partenariat pour le développement inclusif et durable de ces communautés.
