OnePower conducted a strategic follow-up mission from February 10 to 12, 2026, in the villages of Samionta and Gbowele, aimed at consolidating achievements and supporting the scaling up of the solar power plant’s impact.
An initial survey campaign laid the groundwork for the project through a detailed understanding of energy needs, analysis of domestic and productive uses, performance testing (particularly on mills), and the implementation of a continuous monitoring system.
This new mission represents a key milestone in the project’s development cycle:
Updating socio-economic and energy data
Identifying new households to be connected
Analyzing changes in consumption profiles
Assessing the performance of productive uses
Adjusting demand projections and business models
Our approach is grounded in a strong conviction:
the viability of rural energy infrastructure depends on its capacity to adapt, the quality of its data, and sustained support for local economic dynamics.
This mission is part of a continuous improvement process, data-driven management, and the safeguarding of the long-term profitability of the activities enabled by the solar power plant.
